Portfolio Help!

Generally I find it is best to make portfolio pages is clear and simply and clutter free.

-Don't reduce images if detail will be lost, actual size is usually the most appropriate.

-Often 1 or 2 good/large images is far better than 10 OK small ones. don't cram (fill up) pages full of work, Although some work will be needed to be visible together .

-Importantly don't fill portfolio up with repetition tends to bore the reader.

- No need to add a defined template to each page eg. A bar/logo at bottom/top/side, just for the sake of it. This really does achieve nothing other than branding. Although there is a balance betwwen approaching each page as a isolated piece, and a tidy uniform portfolio. If you do, make it simple, not to dominate the page.

- Think about each sheet as a composition itself, including a title/caption if needed - keeping the text small and discreet in size and font. Unless part of the drawing itself.

- Is fine to start each project with a chapter/intro page, describing the project (as much for yourself as the reader )

-Include process, even if sketch, make the portfolio clear to follow but not contrived!

-Importantly let the work and drawings speak for themselves, do not over work pages, this is a waste of time. Clean and clear; IT IS THE QUALITY OF YOUR DRAWINGS THAT IS IMPORTANT.
